TYPES OF DEPRESSION
- MajorDepressiveDisorder-characteristic features like fatigue, feeling of useless, concentrating difficulty, thoughts of death and suicide are present.
- Persistent Depressive disorder-either condition present for more days or at least 2 years. It can be mild, moderate or severe.
- Bipolar disorder-abnormally raised mood, can cause imbalance in personal life.
- Postpartum depression-caused due to variation in hormone level, especially in women during pregnancy, following the birth of a child.
- Premenstrual dysphoric disorder-mostly symptoms are related to mood such as anxiety, dull mood,irritability,inability to concentrate etc
- Seasonal affective disorder-if symptoms in particular season subsides in the preceding season, those were the characteristics of S.A.D
- Atypical depression-not having any typical characteristic of presentation.
