This syllabus provides a comprehensive overview of Ayurveda, covering both theoretical concepts and practical applications. It includes the study of Indian philosophy and the aims of Ayurveda, exploring its unique features, historical development, and branches. The syllabus delves into the fundamental elements of creation, the concept of doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), the classification of tastes (Rasas), and the concept of body tissues (Dhatus) and waste products (Malas). It also covers digestive fire (Agni), body channels (Srotas), body constitution (Prakriti), daily routines (Dinacharya), and treatments like oleation (Sneha Karma), sudation (Sweda Karma), and Panchakarma therapies. The practical classes involve hands-on training in traditional Ayurvedic therapies such as massage techniques, herbal treatments, and specialized therapies like Shirodhara and Nasya. Overall, this syllabus provides a holistic understanding of Ayurveda principles and their application in therapeutic practices.

Our curriculum offers a comprehensive education in Ayurveda, blending theoretical foundations with practical applications. Theoretical classes cover topics such as self and hospital introduction, the study of Indian philosophy and the aim of Ayurveda, unique features of Ayurveda, Panchakarma therapy, the need for protecting our body, and the mythological origin of Ayurveda.
You’ll also delve into the history of Ayurveda, exploring its presence in the pre-Vedic, Vedic, post-Vedic, post-Buddhist, and medieval periods. We cover the branches of Ayurveda, including Kaya Chikitsa (general medicine), Bala Chikitsa (pediatrics), Graha Chikitsa (psychiatric treatment), Shalakya Chikitsa (ENT and ophthalmology), Shalya Chikitsa (surgery), Agada Chikitsa (toxicology), Rasayana Chikitsa (rejuvenation or geriatrics), and Vajeekarana Chikitsa (aphrodisiacs or sexology).
Further, you’ll study the theory of creation, the five elements of creation, the Panchamahabhuta concept (earth, water, fire, air, space), and the properties of these elements. The curriculum includes a detailed examination of the three fundamental bio-energies (Tridosha), their positions, their relationship with the Panchamahabhuta, and their various treatments.
Structural and fundamental elements, digestive fire and tract, body channels, and body constitution are thoroughly covered. You’ll learn about the concept of Rasas (tastes), Sapta Dhatus (body tissues), and Malas (wastes), and their interactions with Tridosha and the Panchamahabhuta. The concept of Agni (digestive fire) is explored in depth, along with its types and states, and the concept of Koshta (alimentary tract).
Daily and seasonal routines (Dinacharya and Ritucharya), the connection between body and mind, oleation and sudation therapies, and Panchakarma procedures are integral parts of the curriculum. You’ll also gain knowledge about the concept of Marma (vital body points), nasal installation (Nasya), ear installation (Karna Purana), and eye nourishment therapy (Tharpanam).
Practical classes include traditional oleation massage (Abhyanga), face massage, herbal facial, head massage, foot massage, Shirodhara, herbal powder massage (Udwarthanam), body massage, Kashaya Dhara (warm decoction bath), Greeva-Vasti, Kati-Vasti, Januvasti (retention of oil in different regions), oil bath (Pizhichil or Kayasekam), and various bolus bag treatments such as Njavarakizhi (medicated rice), Naranga Kizhi (lemon bolus), Elakizhi (leaf pack), and Podikizhi (powder massage).
Kalari massage is also a key component of our practical training, ensuring a well-rounded and immersive learning experience in Ayurvedic practices.
Our Ayurveda diploma courses are designed for those seeking a professional qualification in Ayurveda. Final Assessment: A mandatory offline exam will be conducted at the end of the course.
Certification – A Certificate in Traditional Ayurvedic Massage & Panchakarma Therapy will be issued upon successfully finishing the course. The certificate will not be issued if the course is incomplete, the exam is not attended, or if there are any outstanding payments.
