KAYAKING TO KAKKATHURUTHI

AL AIN FARM VISIT

AL AIN Farm is a   branch of agriculture that encompasses the breeding, raising, and utilization of dairy animals, primarily cows, for the production of milk and the various dairy products processed from it. Inside the farm, you can see a variety of cows, chickens, ducks, and goats. There you have activities like fishing, feeding, and cow milking. Cow milking starts at 1:00 pm every day. The owner of the farm tells everything and makes us experience.

EXPERIENCING THE TODDY CHOPPING AND TASTING TODDY

You can see Toddy tappers walk on ropes tied between the tops of adjacent coconut trees to reach the palm flower. Toddy tapping begins when the tapper starts beating the flower for three days. Once beaten, the flower is then cut to allow the sap to drain. Toddy Tapper climbs the coconut tree to prepare the flower bud for collecting sap. The tip of the flower bud is cut off using a knife before it blossoms and a toddy collecting pot is hung to collect the sap. Also, they will give toddy for tasting. 

PADDY FIELD VISIT

Kakkathuruthi is famous for its paddy fields and paddy cultivation. It starts here in the month of April and ends in the month of September. Here you can experience the planting of saplings in the month of April and harvest in the month of September. You can learn from the farmers there how paddy is grown and what it does and also experience the harvesting. it is best to wear a short dress to get down to the paddy fields.
